Cabin (480 sq. ft.) in Soldotna, AK
5.1 miles from Skilak Lake
Don't miss the chance to stay in this one of a kind cabin with direct access to the mighty Kenai River. Located on the slough between Dots Landing and Bings landing makes this middle river location perfect for fishing any of the fish species the Kenai has to offer. With a huge yard, firepit, grill, and cute little cabin, this is the ultimate Alaskan getaway. This property also offers its own boat launch, and boat tie offs, and has plenty of parking for trailers, campers, tents, etc. The launch is sandy bottomed and gradual, and the water isn't flowing, so its perfect for your kids and your pets to play in the water! If you don't have a boat you can drive a short distance to some great fishing holes for Silver and Reds. The cabin is a small A frame, with a full kitchen, including running hot water, a loft with a king sized bed, and a pull out couch with a full sized bed(okay for kids, not comfortable for adults). There is also space for cots, or an air mattress on the floor down stairs. The loft is accessible via a pull down ladder, so you must be able to safely climb a ladder to use that. The cabin is heated with a wood stove. There is also a hot shower that is located in the "Shower Shed" next to the main cabin, and there is a porta potty for bathroom use. We like to consider this the best glamping you can find. We also have a deep freeze, so you can package and freeze all your fish before you leave!

Welcome to Wildwoods Cabin, an experience you will always remember. Recently built, Wildwoods Cabin is a very modern 4 bedroom, 3 bath “cabin in the woods” overlooking the peaceful Moose River near Sterling, Alaska. The builder has harvested interesting stone and unique wild woods from years of roaming the Alaskan wilderness and has brought it all together to create the beautiful masterpiece that is the Wildwoods Cabin, all for your exclusive lodging experience. Read a book by the gas fireplace with the beautiful burled spruce mantel and enjoy the towering stone and wild wood wall above the black granite bar. The kitchen with cherry wood cabinets is fully equipped for whatever culinary delights you are ready to create. Fresh fruit, coffee, and teas are ready for your mornings. Relax in the soaking tub and large walk-in shower of the master bathroom. The large deck overlooking the river with its grill and dining area is also a bird lover's dream location to watch 60 known species throughout the year. Trumpeter swans and many other waterfowl make this a favorite feeding stop on spring and fall migrations. Moose enjoy feeding in the river at sunrise and sunset. Bear, caribou, coyotes, wolves, otter and mink wander through on occasion. Breathe in the fresh scents from the rock gardens and flower beds built into the surrounding terrain. Stroll the path to the river and soak up the wildlife from the benches on the dock. Take off in the canoe for a leisurely paddle up the Moose River. Or after a day of fishing, hiking, or sightseeing, you can return to the luxurious surroundings of the cabin. Wildwoods Cabin was built and furnished by Robert Kuiper, Alaska's master log furniture builder who focuses on bringing the beauty of Alaska's woods and rivers indoors and incorporating them into beds, tables, and chairs. Of special interest are the beautiful end tables created from the log remains of the new Iditarod Burled Arch in Nome, of which Robert built in 2000. Keywords: lodge, house, cabin
